For the second straight week, Thanasi Kokkinakis found fellow young gun Daniil Medvedev too hot to handle on a grasscourt, going down to the Russian in straight sets at Queen's.

Kokkinakis secured the biggest win of his career on Tuesday by beating world No.6 Milos Raonic but struggled to replicate that form against the talented Medvedev, who is ranked 60th in the ATP standings.
The South Australian got off to the worst possible start when he was broken in the first game of the match and had no answer to the serving and returning game of the 21-year-old from Moscow, who wrapped up the victory in 59 minutes.

It was the second time in as many weeks Kokkinakis has lost to the Medvedev, who also prevailed in straight sets over the Aussie at the Ricoh Open in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
Kokkinakis followed Jordan Thompson out of the tournament; earlier on Thursday the lucky loser fell in three tightly-contested sets to former Queen’s winner Sam Querrey.
