There are few bigger sporting icons in Spain than Rafa Nadal and it has been proven again, this time with a touching letter from a 92-year-old fan. Debora Mansur shared the letter written by her great grandmother on Twitter.
"Dear Rafa, in December I wrote you another letter which I sent to your school in the Balearics, maybe you haven't received it, you do go to a lot of places," she wrote. I am a 92 year old woman, almost 93 in April, and since you started playing tennis I have been a huge fan. I watch all of your matches and if they are really early in the morning, I set the alarm."I'm really sorry for what happened in Australia, I hope everything is well again now. Now you will be in Acapulco at the end of the month, I would have loved to have come but it is difficult to travel and I am left here. My husband, who has passed away, played a lot of tennis and I think that's why I liked him. I really hope you could reply one day, a hug and all my love." Her wish was fulfilled too, as the superstar responded on social media. "Dear Debora, please thank your great grandmother for this emotional letter and its contents which have touched my heart," he wrote in reply. "All the letters and shows of support that I receive from you all mean a lot to me, thank you very much."
