The day began with the doubles final. Krawietz and Puetz became the first German team to capture glory at the season finale. The eighth seeds battled past top seeds Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic 7-6(5), 7-6(6) in a gripping championship clash.

As the Germans celebrated their victory, they received congratulations from the No. 1 player in the PIF ATP Rankings, Sinner. The Italian took a moment during his warmup to recognise their efforts.

It was an emotional week for Sinner with his family. After a thrilling ATP Year-End No. 1 presented by PIF ceremony earlier in the week, the Italian’s family joined him on court following his title win.
