Lammons/Withrow continue quest for biggest career title in Washington

Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow extended their winning streak to six matches Friday by reaching the quarter-finals of the Mubadala Citi DC Open.

The fourth-seeded Americans, who last week defended their Atlanta title, defeated fifth seeds Lloyd Glasspool and Santiago Gonzalez 6-4, 7-6(6). Lammons and Withrow dropped just five points behind their first deliveries and only four behind their second serves, according to Infosys ATP Stats.

Continuing their quest for their biggest team title, Lammons and Withrow will face second seeds Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson in the last four. The other semi-final will feature sixth seeds Sadio Doumbia and Hugo Nys versus eighth seeds Rafael Matos and Marcelo Melo.
