Swiatek, King congratulate Alcaraz on Wimbledon triumph

Iga Świątek and Billie Jean King were among the stars who congratulated Carlos Alcaraz on social media Sunday after the Spaniard defeated Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final.

“Huuuge congratulations @BKrejcikova and @carlosalcaraz for amazing two weeks and your titles!” Swiatek posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Alcaraz is now a four-time major champion, having also won the 2022 US Open, 2023 Wimbledon and 2024 Roland Garros trophies. The Spaniard reached the four-Slam milestone quicker than Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

The Spaniard is now locked in a tight battle for ATP Year-End No. 1 presented by PIF honours with rival Jannik Sinner.

ATPTour.com looks at the social media reaction, from both players and celebrities, to Alcaraz’s triumph at SW19.
